I’ve known Nick Trail since he was in high school, when he was selected - from a pool of applicants from across the state - to participate in the Tennessee Youth Leadership Forum. I saw something in Nick way back then, and before long, Nick was assisting me in running the program for other selected students!  Nick has an engaging personality, is smart as a whip, has a great sense of humor and a real passion for living life to the fullest by overcoming (or at least figuring out how to work around) any obstacles thrown in his way. All of these positive attributes come shining through in his inspirational presentations. I have loved experiencing his story so far, and can’t wait to read some more chapters!” – Ned Andrew Solomon, Former Director, Partners in Policymaking Leadership Institute

"If someone asked me what I think when I hear the name Nick Trail.  I would say he's a loyal friend, hard worker, determined, dedicated and an inspiration to others. We may not be brothers by blood, but I consider him part of my family."

- Lucky Knott, 33 year radio broadcast veteran

“ When I returned to the University of Tennessee for my second tenure as a coach I met Nick Trail, who was serving as an equipment manager for the football team. Nick had some obvious physical challenges that I soon learned had no bearing on his attitude or work load! Nick has inspired Tennessee football and so many others with his spirit and determination to succeed.” - David Cutcliffe, Head Football Coach, Duke University.

"Nick Trail is one of the most inspiring young people I've ever been around. Life throws us roadblocks and some see those as impenetrable fortresses. Others, like Nick, see the roadblocks and somehow make a way to hurdle over them. Nick has an incredibly inspirational story, an infectious smile, and a personality that will win you over in one short visit. I have no doubt that when he shares his life story with others they will be moved to do more , be more, want more."- Mike Hamilton, Executive Vice President-Learfield

"I am honored to be included as Nick tells his story to the world. He has a great one to tell, and has certainly always been an inspiration to both me and my family."- Phillip Fulmer, Former University of Tennessee Athletic Director, member of The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.

" I often joke with friends that one day I will have to go out and get a real job, that being paid to cover college football is too much like a dream. The games, travel and pageantry that goes along with college football are a blast, but the real blessing is meeting people like Nick Trail. I've had the honor of covering and getting to know Hall of Famers such as Phillip Fulmer, Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier, who among them have won six national championships, but nobody in my nearly 30 years of covering sports has touched my life more profoundly than Nick Trail. I'm not sure what's more enduring -- his spirit, his will, his courage or his love for people. He's never had a bad day despite obstacles that many of us see as insurmountable. I'm proud to call him a friend, a fellow college football junkie, and most of all, an inspiration."
