Nick's story is anything but ordinary. He was born two months premature with Cerebral Palsy, a disability that can impact one’s physical and cognitive functioning. The doctors at Vanderbilt Medical Center gave his parents a glimpse of a challenging future, stating that Nick might never walk and would most likely face numerous other disabling conditions.

Determined to prove the doctors wrong, Nick's parents relied on their faith and their personal philosophy that anything was possible.
Nick's parents instilled in him a strong work ethic, and the belief that he could overcome any obstacle.  Nick's love for sports - especially football - afforded him the opportunity to be a manager for his local high school team.  When it came time to choose a college, there was only one choice for Nick: The University of Tennessee.
Nick was able to fulfill his dream of working for the Volunteers as both a student equipment manager and a graduate assistant, from 2002-2009.  During his tenure there, Nick obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, as well as a Master's degree in Public Relations.  Studies aside, Nick’s convinced that the best aspect of his experiences at UT was building relationships and memories with his football family.
